Fontissimo is synonymous with the best of Le Fonti. Papa’s Best, as we like to call it, gets the best Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from our vineyards. It started off in the 90s as a Sangiovese – Cabernet Sauvignon blend and got its first addition of Merlot in 2003. The vintages 2012 and 2013 then became a Cabernet S. and Merlot blend (60/40%) but from 2014 on we have added a little bit of Sangiovese again. After almost two years in French oak barriques, this wine wins over with its dark ripe fruit and good balance. A wine that invites you to meditate!
